Wow! What a neat program!
I really did not know what to expect going into this project. I was actually a bit nervous about it. It ended up being very easy to create. I would love to make more for use during centers or novel study time. I would be great to use with advanced students. I could "teach" them using the podcast and then they could work. Lots of fun!
I could also use the podcast to during writer's workshop to show groups of students different things while I worked with other students. It would be more work to create because I would actually be working twice as much at that time, but it would allow me to meet more students at their levels. My mind is just going with the possibilities - writer's workshop, novel studies, math groups... Things to think about and then create!
Can you get the program for PCs as well as Macs?

Project 4 - I Movie
I made my iMovie today. I think that it is a great program to use. It was fairly easy. I thought that it was easy to organize my photos using iPhotos albums. I still had to move a picture or two, but that was really easy. I liked the Ken Burns effect, but I can see how it could easily be over-used.
I organized my photos into an acronym using the word photos - people, home, ornery, trouble, other, and school (those taken specifically for a class project). The acronym is kind of corny, but it was fun. Many of the pictures could have fallen into 2 or more different categories.
I can see using this program or one similar to this in my recent future. I would love to put my boys pictures to music and send them to family out of state. I may also make Christmas presents for family.

Lesson Plans
The possibilities are endless when you add the students as photographers to your lesson plans. Atleast in the elementary arena. Lots of neat bulletin boards, graphs, and powerpoints pop into my head. The students will love taking pictures and sharing them with their classmates.
Compound words - making the gifted students create their own compound word and take a picture of it will be fun.
Bar graphs - students love to share about their pets or stuffed animals.
Verbs - creating a photo-bet of a verb will be fun for the students and hopefully their parents! Taking a picture of their verb in action will hopefully help make what a verb is stick into their memories better!
Geometric Shapes - big skill on ISTEP. maybe this will give them a new look on their surroundings. :)
Those were just the four areas I chose. I know that the possibilites are endless!

Project 2 - Virtual Tour
I really enjoyed creating a virtual tour. I liked that I included some you tube video to bring some real life into my tour. I also liked that I added a project for the students to do. It helped me focus by giving them a project they had to complete (a goal).
I also liked looking at other people's tours in class last evening. The elementary focused tours gave me some good ideas for additional tours that I could create. I like how one person did their tour like they were actually talking to their students. That would be fun to do when creating a webquest for the students. I also enjoyed the geometry lesson because it will make students so much more aware of shapes in the world around them.

Framing
Copy Rights
WOW! Very sticky issues. Lots of different rules. Always need to be checking, checking, checking.
Website
Last night's class was so much fun! Creating a website was so neat. I learned so much! I really enjoy learning new things. Thinking about how I could use this in real life. Lots of neat websites that I could create for my classroom and my sons. Also could possibly create a website for my dad since he is self-employed.
